About Me

Hi, I'm Kristan, a 22 year old reader with an opinion on everything! I absolutely love to read, hence the book blog which I started in August 2011. I'm a huge fan of Young Adult books although I do dabble in the Adult section as well. I will pretty much pick up any book as long as it peaks my interest- I don't discriminate against genres!

Between books and clothes, my bank account is always hurting, but I have yet to find a cure for this addiction. One day I'm hoping to make enough money where my book hoarding won't send my wallet into cardiac arrest and can designate an entire room to my collection. As of right now, I try and stick to the used selection of books and limit myself (not really working out too well based on the stacks of books I have lining my book shelves).

Other than reading, a lot of my time goes toward my schoolwork. I just recently graduated with a masters in Cellular and Molecular Biology. Due to my current unemployment status, I am working towards my certification as a Nursing Assistant during the job hunt. In the near future I'm hoping to apply to medical schools as well. Oh, student loans, they have to be paid off eventually.

I also spend a lot of time with my three year old Chihuahua named Jack. He's currently the one who owns my heart. He still has the puppy mentality and is constantly getting himself into trouble, which is how he's earned the nickname Jack Jack maniac. As you can see in this picture, he's a complete menace, and stole the baby binky from one of my friend's diaper bags. However, its just too hard to stay mad at him!

Overall, I'm a pretty typical girl with a passion for books. I take too many pictures, watch too many movies, and spend an obscene amount of time laughing. Someday I'll make my way to Paris and climb the Eiffel Tower...in heels. I love sitting in my pjs watching hockey (NY RANGERS FAN!) and have the biggest crush on Henrik Lundquist. I'm obsessed with zombies, caramel coffee, and Taylor Swift (not necessarily in that order). And if I could spend the rest of my life reading I would.
