Hey everyone, its the first Follow Friday post after my blog's huge makeover. For all of you who haven't seen it yet, hope you like the new look!
This week's question is...
What is the longest book you've read? What are your favorite 600+ page reads?
The longest book I've read would probably be Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. What's funny is that even though this book is epically long, it took me no time to finish it! I literally devoured those pages.
My favorite 600+ page books would most definitely be the Harry Potter series by JK Rowling. With those books I never wanted the story to end! (The first three books are all under 600 pages).
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire 734 pages
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix 896 pages
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince 652 pages
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows 759 pages
What super long books have you all read? Send me a link and I'll check out your posts!
I love your template. I think I saw it on the designer's blog yesterday. New follower from Follow Friday.
ReplyDeleteYour header is gorgeous. I love it and the colors!
DeleteI can't believe that the HP books are so long. They don't seem it when you are reading them. If anything, they seem too short!
Here's my list: http://www.babiesbooksandsigns.com/2012/03/fun-meme-friday_22.html

Yep! The Harry Potter books are certainly of the longest I've seen! But that's even more awesome, since that means you'll get to read it for a longer period of time :)

ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by LIO!
I know just what you mean! I remember reading The Deathly Hallows and not thinking, 'Oh my gosh, this book is more than 700 pages long', instead I was thinking: 'I can't believe how fast it's going by and this the end!!' Great picks:)
ReplyDeleteSame with me:D
ReplyDeletePlease stop by My FF if you have a chance.

I devoured each of the Harry Potter books in a day or two. I forgot how long they were beause it didn't feel like it. The only one that I wasn't as enamoured with was The Goblet of Fire. I just was not into the Quidditch World cup.

I love the Harry Potter series, I didn't notice there were so many pages.
ReplyDeletehere is mine
I've seen a few people list the Harry Potter books as their favorites as well. Honestly, I think Rowling did an amazing thing proving that YA could (and would) read longer novels. Good choice ^_^
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by! I am returning the follow ^_^
sinn @ sinnful books

ReplyDeleteHarry Potter was my longest too. Great books and you're right, I didn't want them to end.
ReplyDeleteExisting follower just hopping through.
My #FF
I read each Harry Potter book in the course of a night. That sounds CRAZY now that I remember it but they were long but fast. That's a rare talent to create that combo.
ReplyDeleteHope you'll check out my follow friday
Everyone mentions HP somewhere in their answer lol. I haven't completely finished the HP series yet but I intend to! New follower!
ReplyDeleteShae @ Understanding Shae's Story
The longest book I have read would be "Outlander" by Diana Gabaldon. AMAZING!!!
ReplyDelete*New GFC Follower* Harry Potter was mine too! I love your headline! It's so pretty!
ReplyDelete-Sonnie @ Lit Girl: Confessions of a Future Librarian
I really NEED to read HP.
ReplyDeleteI devoured the Harry Potter books, too. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my FF. Have a great weekend!
If you consider the fact that the version of The Lord of The Rings I read was the one that’s one book with the 3 parts inside (1202 pages in the brazilian version), that would be the longest book I’ve ever read. But if you consider series to favorite 600+ page reads, hands down, Harry Potter. Not so much for the story, but for the feeling it brings me every time I think about it. Ironically, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix was the first book I've ever read in English, and because of that it took me FOREVER to finish reading it!
ReplyDeleteI'm a new follower, btw! Loved your layout! <3
